The inspiration for my creations is rooted in a combination of two cultures. The vivid colors and emotive strokes reflect my ten years hospital experience looking after my daughter. Combining big shapes, bold colors, and intriguing texture as basic abstract painting elements, I use some delicate brush strokes and subtle color tones to finish composing the whole painting.
Using gesso to build up texture on paper or canvas, I add thin paint to make rich layers. Big strokes with strong movement serve as a contrast to the subtly of lines and dots. I try to create intense visual effects and momentum in order to show life brimming with vigor, and to express my candid feelings and emotions.
