Printmaking
My heritage is observable in these lyrical etchings that often depict the countryside or historical sites of my native England. I use a fluid intaglio technique in my etchings that are informed by the draftsmanship of such classic masters as Rembrandt, Whistler and Haden.
I immigrated to the United States in 1976, and studied printmaking at the University of Minneapolis and the University of Wisconsin. I now live in Wisconsin, but return to England often to draw. My work that is accomplished during these stays fuels my imagination for future etchings.
