Iridescent colors blend and merge into intriguing patterns. Fantasy land and seascapes emerge. Abstract watercolor images tempt the viewer's imagination. Once I have formed and refined a piece, they are base- coated and strategically accented with various colored slips and under glazes. My over glaze designs are accomplished with liquid metallic lusters. Because it is a liquid, the translucent color shading and blending is done almost like a watercolor painting. The metals I use are gold, platinum, silver and copper as well as other materials. My trim work is done using 22K gold or platinum, bringing some geometric elements to the work. The piece is then fired again to fuse the glaze and permanently bond the metal to the piece. Each piece of my porcelain art is unique and has its own individual personality.
