My hand bound journals and albums are covered with intensely saturated batik fabrics and hand made papers. Each book has a unique quality, such as a rounded spine, an exposed spine with colorful beadwork, a designed inlay made from cut paper or found objects, or a built-in decorative bookmarker.
Trained as a graphic designer, I also use bold colors, simplified shapes and varied textures to create dynamic wall pieces. I strive for balance and intensity, reworking each piece until the flow is pleasing to the eye and soul.
